1. All team members are responsible for knowing and following
these rules. |
|
|
|
2. The following rules will be interpreted by the tournament
director and or committee, and all decisions are final. We
reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone. |
|
|
|
3. At least one member of the team must be 18 years or older.
Underage contestants must have written consent from parent or
guardian. Participation is open only to members of Skiatook Lake
Anglers. All participants must have a state fishing license. |
|
|
|
4. Entry Fees- See applicable entry schedule on flyer or on the
web site skiatooklakeanglers.com Entries will be charged $25 for
any returned checks. Entries have 10 days to make good on bad or
stop payment checks and failure to do so may result banishment
from all future events. |
|
|
|
5. Take off All contestants must come by Mister Bass, prior to
starting time, for check-in and final instructions, unless prior
arrangements have been made with tournament director. They may
then proceed to launch and go to their fishing spot. Teams MUST
NOT begin fishing until official starting time. |
|
|
|
6. ALL tournaments will be weighed in at Black Dog Park. |
|
|
|
7.
You may
trailer your boat to the weigh in after you check in at the
courtesy dock at Black Dog, there will be someone at the courtesy
dock 30 min's. before weigh in. NOTE: you cannot trailer your
boat from another ramp to weigh your fish. If you put in at
another ramp you will have to beach your boat at Black Dog to
weigh in your fish. |

8. Tackle and Equipment Only artificial bait or lures and pork
style baits maybe used. No trolling or snagging and fish must be
caught on rod and reel with (1) line per angler in the water at
a time. |
|
|
|
9. Off limit locations: No fishing within 150 Feet of Crystal
Bay and Cross Timbers Marinas and boat docks and 100 feet from
another contestants boat. New:
Inside the buoys at Black Dog. |
|
|
|
10. Fishing allowed from boat only. Cannot leave boat to fish or
retrieve fish during tournament hours. Participants may not
leave boat except for good cause during tournament hours. Teams
may not leave boat in order to enter shallow water areas. |
|
|
|
11. No alcoholic beverages allowed in possession during
tournament hours and no illegal drugs permitted in boat or
permitted to be consumed during tournament hours. |
|
|
|
12. All bass must be caught on the day and the lake of specified
event during tournament hours. |
|
|
|
13. Restricting bass by any method which disallows its natural
movement or travel throughout the entire impoundment is
prohibited. Having knowledge of restricting bass for the purpose
of using them for their benefit is also prohibited. |
|
|
|
14. Seeding bass captured from another impoundment is
prohibited. |
|
|
|
15. Safety and Sportsmanship State boating laws must be
observed at all times. Safe boating and fishing practices must
be observed at all times. Life jackets and kill switches must be
worn when boat is on plane. |
|
|
|
16. Scoring: Five fish limit, fourteen inch minimum, measured on
flat board (wil-e-go) in a relaxed matter with mouth closed and
tail lobes pressed together swept in any manner necessary to hit
the mark. Spotted Bass, (Kentucky), can be
any length. Only large mouth,
spotted, and small mouth bass will be counted. Total weight per
team will determine place. Ties will be broken by number of
fish. Any bass not within legal limits will result in one pound
penalty deducted plus loss of said fish. Any dead fish will
carry half a pound penalty. Ruling will be final. Weigh slips
must be signed by one team member. |

|
17. Culling fish: No team may have more than five bass in the
live well at any time. Must cull fish immediately. |
|
|
|
18. Boats and motor requirements: No pontoons allowed. Allowed
are any brand of boats of 16 feet minimum and at least 40
horsepower motor. A livewell with working aerators is required. |
|
|
|
19. Sportsmanship Unsportsmanlike conduct is cause for
disciplinary action or disqualification. |
|
|
|
20. Money ties: In case of a tie, a winner will be determined by
the greater number of fish. If a tie still exists, the two or
more positions will be added together and divided by the number
of ties. The amount of payback will be awarded equally. |
|
|
|
21. Polygraph By signature on entry waiver form, contestants
agree to a polygraph test by a qualified examiner. Refusal to
take, or failure of a polygraph test will result in
disqualification and banishment from future Skiatook Lake
Anglers events. First, second and big bass award winners must be
present at conclusion of weigh in for Polygraph administrations
unless prior arrangements are approved directly from the
tournament director. Any contestants not present for the
required Top 20 random or protest related polygraph will not
receive winnings until test has been administered, which will be
provided and administered at the next scheduled tournament. Any
contestants requiring any other arrangements for a polygraph
will be administered the test at the contestants own expense of
$250. |

22. Protest: Any protest must be in writing and filed with
tournament officials within 10 minutes of conclusion of weigh
in. |
|
|
|
23. Late penalty:
Saturday League and
Wednesday Jackpots: (1) pound per
minute up to 10 minutes will be deducted, then after 10 minutes,
disqualification. |
|
|
24. Dead water:
Saturday League - After 6 p.m. on day prior to tournament, up to
tournament hours.
Wednesday Jackpots - Day of tournament, up to tournament hours. |
|
|
|
25. Partners: Each team can consist of up to three members. Any
1 or 2 team members can participate in an event including the
championship. The third team member must pay membership fee and
must be used during the regular season qualifiers in order to
participate in the championship. Immediate family member may be
used in hardship cases during the season and the championship
with prior approval from tournament director. Decisions on
hardship cases will be made by the tournament director. |

26. Point system: Points will be accrued solely for the purpose
of angler of the year. Points will be accrued from the 6 regular
qualifier tournaments. 1st place, 200 points; 2nd place, 199
points; 3rd place, 198 points and so on. All teams not weighing
fish will receive 25 points less than last place finish. |
